Additionally, the first campaigns you run should not be on words or phrases that have a lot of competition as it's easy to get caught up in that aspect of this process and this can be very costly. As a beginner to this process, it's important to remember that you will be competing against people and companies that have been employing Google Adwords to make money for, potentially the last few years. They will likely be more experienced or have bigger budgets than you.

As you gain experience and as your income grows, if you choose to venture into the more competitive words and phrases, at least you will be more aware of what you’re doing. Once you get an understanding of how the program works, you may want to conduct test and try different techniques. At this point you may be ready to venture into another niche and employ what you have learned with a new product or products.
