Is there still a possible way to make money using Adwords? There is a lot of speculation about whether or not Pay-Per-Click (PPC) marketing is still a legitimate way to make money anymore. The reason for this is because there are many people that claim to make a nice living by marketing Adwords. However, for every one person that is making money using Adwords, there are 1000 horror stories about people losing a lot of money in an attempt to follow these “gurus.” So, to answer the question, can one still make money using Adwords?
The answer is, ”Yes.” The problem is that the game has changed. In the past it was easy to throw up an ad linking directly to an affiliate program that would pay you a commission. Now, Google has made it very hard for people to advertise on Adwords and there are a lot more people trying to do it. But myself and others are making money on Adwords…some of them are making a fortune, not just a living.
So, how can you be one of the people one the team that is making money using Adwords? Well, here are a few tips to help you learn how to make money using Adwords. You need to build quality landing pages. So, this way when someone clicks on your ad, they are taking to some sort of a review or pre-sell page that will then guide them to the product you are promoting, and it has to have some legitimate content. Secondly, you have to use very targeted keywords. One way to do this is to set up ad campaigns where the name of the product or site that you are promoting, is the actual keyword you are using to bid on and used in your ad and on your landing page. You can also use words like “buy” or “purchase” because those people are looking to or how to buy something, rather than just looking for general information. Google wants their searches to have ads that are relevant to what they are searching for. This happens when they search for a term that shows up in your ad, then, they click your page, with that same word used in the title somehow and appear often in your page. This is all called keyword optimization. Google will also reward you by lowering your Cost-Per-Click.
Also, you have to do research on the competition and the market you are in, or you are going to spend a fortune on bidding (remember though that the more targeted the keyword, the lower the bid will be generally). If there are more than 4-5 pages of ads, don’t even bother. Change keywords or change markets. Find niches and sub-niches, and then find products that will solve the problems of those niches or that those niches want.
These are just a few tips for the new way of making money on Adwords. I personally am someone that is making money using Adwords, and know that it can be done. The great part about it is that once I have a successful campaign up, it works on autopilot. All I have to do is check commissions and do some ad testing. That’s the beauty of it.
If you are serious about wanting to make money using Adwords, read the guide on Google’s website before you do anything. The next thing you need to do is to do some research on affiliate programs and on finding those niche markets I was talking about. Then, just come up with some highly targeted words and phrases to bid on. I would recommend picking up a GOOD guide or two to learn very specific techniques(be careful because all Adwords guides are not created equally). Doing all of that, you’ll start making money by using Adwords in no time.
