Web 2.0 - Using Graphics And Blogs To Increase Sales

Web 2.0 is taking over the internet these days. You may have heard of this term before. The exact meaning of this phrase may be describing the new standard of graphics, the way people use the internet (more interactivity like myspace), or it could just be some kind of catch phrase to try and get people to buy more interesting products.

In any case, you have probably noticed that more and more people have switched to faster connections with even faster computers. This means that webmasters have the freedom to increase the loading times on their pages with fancier graphics. These graphics are more dynamic, they use lighting, shadowing, glowing, and more. All these effects astound many people, including me. If I was still a beginner I would probably have more trouble saying “no” to many of the offers I see daily.

When I see amazing graphics on a sales page, even if I don’t want to buy, I look at all of it anyway. I am a sucker for shiny things. Then it hit me, these “shiny things” really hypnotize people into buying what the site sells. Surfing the net, I see all sorts of offers, but the ones that really stand out are the ones that have amazing graphics, so I assume they raise the conversion of the page.

In addition to amazing graphics, web 2.0 also refers to blogs and other social communities. If you are an internet marketer and you don’t have a blog. you are missing out on a great marketing tool. Blogs are easy to use, they are SEO friendly, and they allow for community with their commenting function.

If you place a few web 2.0 graphics on a blog, you would be joining the new generation of the internet and internet marketing. Being the last one to finally convert those old plain sites into new futuristic sites would surely hinder your ability to earn income online.
