Now, are you ready for some more mind blowing facts that could change your life? Ok, get ready for Part 2 of the success tips that could effectively shift the gear that you're in right now.

Tip 1 - "Complacency".
Most people hardly go pass Gear 2 in life. When I say most people, it means 99% of the people. Too many people are too complacent in life. They are mainly the middle class that makes anywhere from $2,000 to $6,000 per month.

Let me drill this into your head. There's no longer jobs that can last a life time. Take a look around and see what happened to those companies that used to sell charcoal or manufacture wax umbrellas in the 60s. Globalisation is one of the main culprits. However, with the internet and the progress in communications, your competitors are probably snatching your customers while you sleep!

Most company's life cycle couldn't even last 2-5 years, not to mention 10 years or more. Unless the company's is always dwelling into innovation of new products and services, chances is the company is going to be eventually swallowed or forced to close shop.

A job for life? Dream on. A lot of people studies 15-20 years, work for 10 good years and only to realize that by the time they've reached 40 years old, they are going to have a tough time finding a job, not to mention keeping their current job.

So no matter what you are trying to achieve, either making ends meet or climbing the corporate ladder, make sure you have the "End Goal" in mind. Most people do not understand this. Working is just "Apprenticeship". You are not working to just trade your money for time.

If you're interested in running your own logistics company, then start working at the ground as a logistic sales or storeman to familiarize yourself with the operations. When you are there to 'learn the trade secrets' somehow, you will realize that working is fun. You're being paid to learn on the job.

Let me quote you an example. When Douglas Foo wanted to start his Sushi business, he didn't have the knowledge nor the money. The only reason he started the business was just because he likes Sushi! He's goal was to let Singaporeans have a chance to eat good and affordable sushi.

What he did was that he started taking on 4 jobs a day to accumulate his savings and worked as a sushi chef, waiter, F&B to know the day-to-day operations of a business.

Tip 2 - You Create Your Own Luck
********************************

Guess what, those who don't know what happened behinds the scenes of Sakae Sushi would have said Douglas Foo is lucky. But the truth is that he started with no capital. He worked 4 jobs a day to raise the $20,000 or so funds required to launch the first Sakae Sushi outlet.

Lucky? Think again. When it comes to successful people, it's always 99% Perspiration and 1% Inspiration. My friends and students knows that's my motto in life. There's no short cut in life. If you didn't work hard in school, you have to work harder in life.

Of the 100 or so successful businessmen I know in real life. 99% have all the common traits. They all worked hard in their business. On many occasions, their businesses were at the brim of collapsing, however they held on and see the rainbow of success.

They didn't gave up and that's the major difference between the "Successful and Not So Successful Businessmen" out there. Businessmen don't take risk, they take calculated risk. Only gamblers take risk.

You might be curious what happened to the 1%. They are those that have sold their souls in order to achieve monetary goals. They are those who sell their friends, their country, or those involve in vice, gambling related businesses that will harm society, eventually their own family too. What goes around comes around.

Tip 3 - "Reality Check".
***********************

There are a lot of people who are seeking the "Financial Freedom" path to success. Are they really successful? Who are they kidding? Ok, what I'm going to reveal might be painful. It might feel that I'm giving a real tight slap, but hey, I'm here to give you the reality check...pr give you the slap in your left...and right cheek. Here it goes.

a) Not everybody are suitable to run their business.
- I've seen a lot of people who are not successful in their business. It boils down to the few reasons.

b) The Unreluctant Entreprenuer - Setting up a company after they got retrenched or given the golden handshake. With absolutely no reasoning for setting up the business, they don't have a clear vision of what they want to achieve. When their goal or vision is small, the sames goes for the size of the company.

c) Lacking of knowledge - Many would be Entrepreneurs lack the basic skills required to run a successful business. They are: Positioning, Branding, Domain Knowledge, Subject Matter Expert, Marketing, Team Building, Leadership, Good Communication Skills and more important Networking Skills, which means the CEO of the company needs to be extremely extrovert. Remember, it's not Who You Know or What You Know but Who Knows You.

d) No PHDs - No Passion, Hardwork & Drive.

e) Don't call yourself an Entrepreneur if you don't know the meaning. Being an Entrepreneur is being different. Involving in MLMs don't make you an Entrepreneur even though it gives you an alternative path to passive income or financial freedom. Setting up a "Me Too" company don't make you an Entrepreneur. "Entrepreneur" is a Golden word, don't abuse it!

Tip 4 - Run Your Business Like A Real Business
**********************************************

A lot of people make a fatal mistake. They take their business lightly. They have no goal in being the best in their industry. Let me tell you the real truth. Only the Top 5 of any industry will last for more than 10 years in the trade. If you are running a "Me Too" company with no plans on being the No.1 in your industry, then I will tell you don't waste time. Chances is that you will waste your time and go nowhere...or you'll be forever stucked in Gear 2 and not move forward.How about Internet Business then? Well, of course there is minimum risk in starting an Internet Business. However, in order to be successful, you need to treat your Internet business like any real business.

*The Key To Success.


In order to succeed in your business, you must know this.
Whether you have an Internet Business or a "Brick & Mortar Business", the idea needs to be big enough so that you can afford to hire and manage a team eventually. If your idea of running a business is you designing your website, doing your marketing collaterals, contacting your clients, co-calling and canvassing for sales...then your business will not grow.

Before you start planning your business venture, have the end in mind and work backwards.

To sum it up, not everybody are suitable to run their own businesses. Just look at Steve Balmer, he is a good supporter of Bill Gates and he is doing fine. The next time you think of starting a business, think it long and hard. Why is Internet Business better than traditional business? It's because it only cost 7.99USD to own a business and you can definitely afford the loss. However, to have a successful Internet Business, you need to have the necessary traits as stated earlier.
